Sturtevant
Following her major survey at the Museum Fϋr Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt/Main, Sturtevant’s large-scale exhibition marked the Paris-based artist’s first major solo show in New York in nearly ten years. The exhibition included an installation of Duchamp 1200 Coal Bags, approximately ten ready-made objects, and the film Nude Descending the Staircase produced in 1967. In the 24th Street space, the artist premiered a seven camera video installation, The Dark Threat of Absence/Fragmented and Sliced (2003).
